MANAGING DIRECTOR
Pete Nicholas is the Co-Founder and retired Chairman of the Board of Boston Scientific Corporation. Prior to founding Boston Scientific, he was a General Manager at Millipore Corporation, and previously had served in various sales, marketing and general management positions at Eli Lilly and Company. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of Duke University and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He founded and was the principle benefactor of the Nicholas School of the Environment and the Nicholas Institute of Environmental Policy and Solutions at Duke University and has served on several other for-profit and not-for-profit boards including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston.
Pete served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, resigning his commission 1966. He received a B.A. degree from Duke University, and an M.B.A. degree from The Wharton School of Business.
MANAGING DIRECTOR
JK’s entrepreneurial experience and investment interests range from environmental and energy innovation to transformative health services and technologies. As Managing Director at Ithaka Partners, he advises entrepreneurs and their teams on business strategy and operations improvement. JK also serves as Chief Executive of Chelsea Clock, an American luxury goods company manufacturing in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Earlier in his career, JK co-founded a startup in the health tech space and was a consultant with The Parthenon Group, in Boston and London, and with Ernst & Young in San Francisco.
JK received his B.A. in Philosophy at Duke University in 1989 and an M.B.A. from The Fuqua School of Business in 1996. He has served on the boards of private companies and not-for-profit organizations including The Boys & Girls Club of Chelsea, The Fenn School, The Nicholas School of the Environment, and Trinity College at Duke University.
